Zafir Din – Principal Officer, ADT Insurance Agency Ltd

Zafir Din is the founding Principal Officer of ADT Insurance Agency Ltd, a dynamic and fast-growing insurance intermediary established in 2019. With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Zafir brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and innovation to the sector.

Prior to founding ADT Insurance, Zafir spent 15 years at GA Insurance, where he built a solid career—beginning as a Business Development Officer at the Nairobi branch and rising through the ranks to become the Regional Branch Manager for Mombasa. In these roles, he demonstrated a proven ability to drive growth, lead teams, and develop client-centric strategies. His tenure was marked by the strategic elevation of the company’s regional footprint and brand recognition, laying the foundation for his future entrepreneurial success.

Zafir is a versatile and accomplished business leader, widely recognized for his sales and marketing acumen, strategic thinking, and client relationship excellence. He possesses deep expertise in brand development, market analysis, and insurance portfolio management. His ability to define and implement high-impact strategies has played a key role in GA Insurance achieving a revenue base of approximately Ksh 900 million under his leadership.

A confident and eloquent communicator, Zafir excels in stakeholder engagement, corporate liaison, and performance analytics. His management style is meticulous and focused on outcomes, consistently delivering results through detailed planning, efficient execution, and strong leadership.

Beyond the boardroom, Zafir is also a seasoned brand specialist, skilled in crafting compelling corporate narratives that boost visibility and credibility in a competitive marketplace. His use of data-driven insights ensures that both business strategy and communication efforts are continuously optimized.

Outside his professional career, Zafir is a golfing prodigy and the former Captain of Nyali Golf & Country Club, based in Mombasa. A lifelong sportsman, he has represented Kenya both locally and internationally across various disciplines, earning accolades and bringing pride to his country.

Aishajamila Salim
Senior Operations Officer

Aishajamila is a strategic and results-oriented Senior Operations Officer with over five years of experience in comprehensive insurance operations, encompassing claims management, policy renewals, customer service, and regulatory compliance. She excels in cross-departmental coordination and process optimization, consistently enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency. Renowned for her ability to lead high-performing teams, Aishajamila is dedicated to increasing policyholder satisfaction.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Management from Moi University and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Insurance at the College of Insurance.

Amon Mokandu
Financial Controller

Mokandu is a veteran financial controller bringing over 7years of experience in financial management to the ever-growing team at ADT. He is well versed in the local and government guidelines underpinning financial management with success in diversifying policies and procedures to sustain compliance with regulatory guidelines

He is a finalist accountant well-versed in accounting principles and regulations. He is also motivated to keep the company’s financial operations compliant, accurate and cost effective. He is exceptionally talented in creating robust internal controls, guidelines and procedures to support accounting functions.

Mokandu has a Bachelor’s Commerce in Finance from Kenyatta University. Totalled with that, he has completed all CPA levels.

Margaret Kihugu
Operations Officer

Margaret is a meticulous underwriting operations officer dedicated to utilizing her extensive experience in business retention, revenue growth, and client satisfaction at ADT Insurance Agency Limited.

She excels in executing all underwriting processes, significantly contributing to the overall growth of ADT Insurance Agency. Margaret is renowned for her exceptional communication skills, coupled with superior organizational abilities and problem-solving acumen.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi, Margaret demonstrates a profound passion for the insurance industry. She is currently pursuing a Diploma in Insurance from the College of Insurance to further deepen her expertise and commitment to excellence in her field.

Naomi Masila
Admin Officer

Naomi Masila is an experienced Administrative Officer with over five years of proven expertise in office management and human resource support. In her current role, she ensures the smooth running of daily operations while also contributing to key HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, and benefits administration.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Information Technology from Maseno University, offering a distinctive blend of analytical insight and technical proficiency. Naomi’s interdisciplinary background, combined with her operational efficiency, organizational skills, and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture, plays a vital role in driving the company’s continued success in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.

Zayan Din
Management Trainee
